SteppingUp Introductions

DORA's main purpose is for Stepping Up classes, which provide continued digital literacy steps for participants of the Computers in Homes programme. This week DORA is visiting people in Aranui and New Brighton.

DORA, Mobile Digital Learning Centre

With support from InternetNZ, 2020 Communications Trust converted a beautiful old school bus into a hi-tech mobile learning centre in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Dora was purchased from Central Motorways Ltd in Alexandra where she had operated as a school bus since 1985. She has been reinvented as a mobile digital learning centre, to support our Stepping Up classes in Christchurch, as since the quakes, venues at schools were limited, and transport often unreliable. With our independent mobile learning centre, we can take our digital learning to any venue.

Stepping UP is for anyone with basic computer knowledge wishing to develop skills relevant to their work and life. You choose the modules you want to learn.
