Farmside visit in Timaru

En route to Dunedin, DORA dropped in to visit Farmside, who are generously sponsoring DORA's satellite connectivity. The marketing team from Farmside, hosted representatives from SeniorNet, Aoraki Polytechnic, Timaru District Library, Timaru District Council, Oceanview Heights School along with Jo Goodhew, Minister for Community and Voluntary Sector on board DORA.

DORA, Mobile Digital Learning Centre

With support from InternetNZ, 2020 Communications Trust converted a beautiful old school bus into a hi-tech mobile learning centre in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Dora was purchased from Central Motorways Ltd in Alexandra where she had operated as a school bus since 1985. She has been reinvented as a mobile digital learning centre, to support our Stepping Up classes in Christchurch, as since the quakes, venues at schools were limited, and transport often unreliable. With our independent mobile learning centre, we can take our digital learning to any venue.
