Dora was purchased from Central Motorways Ltd in Alexandra in May 2012, where she had been the first bus they purchased for their fleet. She was originally built in Christchurch. Central used her in Otago as a school bus, transporting many children daily to and from school. They were reluctant to sell her, as she was the darling of their fleet.
