Dora heads to Christchurch

Dora was driven from Alexandra to Christchurch through the beautiful Otago countryside on her way to her new home and new life as a digital mobile learning center.

DORA, Mobile Digital Learning Centre

With support from InternetNZ, 2020 Communications Trust converted a beautiful old school bus into a hi-tech mobile learning centre in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Dora was purchased from Central Motorways Ltd in Alexandra where she had operated as a school bus since 1985. She has been reinvented as a mobile digital learning centre, to support our Stepping Up classes in Christchurch, as since the quakes, venues at schools were limited, and transport often unreliable. With our independent mobile learning centre, we can take our digital learning to any venue.
